which programmer is best for me?

Hi all well it looks like I will be looking for a new programmer soon.

At present I have a 2012 FX4 5.0 magna flow exhaust duel out the back but only 1 mufflar no resanator. K/N air filter soon to be getting Nitto LT295x60R20E Trail Grappler I already have the 2" auto spring lift installed front only.

My last 06 F150 5.4 I had the base model Edge programmer and I'm used to it. But with this new truck I want to be sure I'm getting the best for my buck in a programmer. So I thought I would ask here 1st beore I spent my $$$$$. But right now I'm leaning towards the Edge cs but also looking at the DiabloSport Trinity Programmer. So let me know what you guys think.. Gerry

Anything that can have custom tunes loaded on it.......canned tunes are a waste....

Sabatour, since you are in Hamilton you are less than 4 hrs from livernois in michigan, I would definitely make the trip for an actual dyno tune.

Well I just ordered the iTSX/TSX from this guy http://www.franchimotorsports.com/ He has a sale on today as it is Black Friday / Siber Monday Total price with shipping to my door is $382.88 CAD

I have no idea. I'll just run what's in the turner for now until I can find a place near by that is a resonable price. If you know of some one please let me know.

2012 5.0 programmers.....

IF I remember correctly Livernois said they can formulate their tune to work on SCT.
$550 for a full custom DYNO tune...how can u go wrong?

Anyway, how are the canned tunes working on the fiveO?

Yes sorry I did see it. But driving 4+ hours 1 way and then to cross the border and paying $500 or more for a custom tune is a little much. Also what happens if something goes wrong. Then I'm out more than $500 but also a day or more with no help cause they are too far away to help me out.

The SCT programmer just came in the mail today. So I will look for a place near me to help me out. But thanks for the effort

No problem, I think the odds of the emailed tunes screwing up are much greater than having a dyno tune dialed into your truck. Plus you can get a couple cases of beer and 1/2 price gas to ease the pain of crossing the border

I put a message on the Canadian F150 forum and a few guys sent me to 2 different places near me. What do you think of the prices they charge for their tunes?

Rather than price alone, I would also be concerned about their experience tuning your specific engine in an F150 with the 6 speed transmission. There are a lot of shops that tune that may not have much experience with your particular vehicle. It makes a difference.

I'd just contact at 5star tuning and get email tunes since you've got the iTSX....
