SCT x3 question.

I had the truck at the dealership for service yesterday. But I was dumb and forgot to program the truck back to stock. Now I wonder if the dealership flashed the computer back. Is there a way to check with the tuner what flash is on the computer? I wanted to reflash it. But now I'm scared of returning it to stock and mess something up.

Thanks

Fred

My understanding is that you are safe to attempt. Worst case it fails because the ecm code is different and remains as is.
Also interested in what others say.

Plug the tuner in to the truck and read the hex code of the PCM. You had to have it to get custom tunes in the first place...If it is the same, then you are ok. If an up-date was applied to the PCM, the HEX code would have changed.

I updated the software of the x3 and tried again. It loaded the tune no problems. The dealer did put it back to but i guess they didnt update the pcm.

Thanks for the help.
