ive been trying to download an emailed tune from DP Tuner. ive gotten troyers tunes before and downloaded them with no issue. when i go to download the new one adobe says it cant open it either because is wasnt properly decoded when i was attached to the email or adobe isnt up to date. ive made sure it is up too date with the patches and even tried turning off my fire wall but to success.

does anyone have any other ideas? they checked on their side and say it is correct but from there no help

 

Did you have them resend the file?

 

A tune shouldn't be trying to open in Adobe. Sounds like you don't have the correct software installed on your PC or your associations are screwed up.

I believe that you should be SAVING the file and then opening it within the correct software.

 

dp tuner said its my firewall but even turned off it wont open. when i click on the attachment there is no option for save only open. software is all up to date. i didnt have this problem with my sctx3 programmer for my 150. they have resent the file 3 times now. im completely lost on waht to do next

 

What happens when you RIGHT click on the attachment?

 

option to save as. i save it to desktop. go to load to device and it cant find the file on my desktop

 

Sounds like maybe the file extension is not what the software tool is looking for. You mentioned previously something about your firewall, maybe anti-virus is hitting the attachement ? Do you know what the file extention should be ?

 

my firewall is off and the extension is .cef

 

is the device updated, check the firmware in the device



and are all the drivers up to date??
