Ok, so I'm taking baby steps. Getting a few things here and there a little at a time. Today I ordered the UltraGauge. I enjoy seeing what an engine is doing. Last year I put a flowscan on my boat and to my surprise what I thought was optimum cruising speed was way slower than the ideal according to the gauge. Now I'm looking forward to all this new gauge will tell me as I try different scenarios to improve mpg in my 2002 FX4. I've only had one fill-up so far and it averaged 15.9 with burning only 1/2 tank but I didn't think that was too bad for the 5.4L . I'm running the tank down this time thinking it should average even better with the lighter weight of the truck as the gas burns out. We'll see.
