I got a 98 XLT 4x4 and was wondering what hand held tuners are out there. seems most stuff online is for the 99's and up. i would like to be able to adjust for the exhaust/intake as well as tire size. with my old jeep we just had a little $7 gear we could replace for diffrent tires/gear ratio. im guessing the truck doesnt have something like that.

 

You can order a Gryphon with canned tunes from power hungry performance. Or an edge evolution cs both are the same thing just that the gryphon from what I here has better canned tunes. I currently have an edge CS and have an order in for custom tunes from gryphon.

 

The 98 uses a VSS gear like your Jeep. 99 and newer can use a programmer to correct for gear ratio and tire size.
