Flip Chip Installed
I was just going to tell that I recieved my flip chip last week and installed it the same night. I ran the 87 program and could tell a difference from my jet power module right away, I could tell a difference in the whole rpm range. Sunday I got to flip the switch and run with the 93 octane program. I love it, the power is there and I love how the delays are gone with the shifts.
Mike I do have one question for you, on both sides when I hit 100 its like it tries to shut down like always but it kicks down back to 99 quicker. i was wondering whats happening? This isnt a complaint just a question because I am now one of the many satisfied Superchip users

Glad you got it and you're having fun, that's what it's all about!
With regards to your top speed limiter, every once in awhile, especially with new model year vehicles when they first come out at the beginning of each new model year, we'll have a situaiton where the top speed limiter may not be defeated on some of them right away, and in that case, it's always a free upgrade when that function is hacked out. Usually we see this most in California-spec vehicles, simply because there are fewer of them than the other emissions packages for other states of course, and mostly at the beginning of a new model year, for example.
However, since yours is a 1997 model, that doesn't make much sense, as there isn't a '97 F-150 model that we do not have the top speed limiter eliminated on, hmmm........... sound like we need to check this for you!
I would suggest giving us a call when you get a chance, and let's go over this with you. Because of the use of screen names here on F-150 Online, I don't know your real name at this moment, or I'd look up your file with us and check it right now with an engineer for you, so if you wouldn't mind, please shoot us an email or give us a call when you get a chance, with all your info, name, vehicle info including computer code, etc. and we'll have that checked for you right away, ok?
