Cruise Control loss?
I installed my chip about a week ago and i did notice a big differnece. I hadnt ran it past 100, but when i tried it shut down. I was disappointed because i thought the chip would have corrected that for me. Another thing i noticed is that i was driving out of town and tried using my cruise control and now it doesnt work. Whats the deal...i like the performance of the chip, but i dont want to lose anything and id also like to be able to go over 100 when i want too. Has anyone experienced a prob like this or is it just me? Mike can you help?
Hi Loco,
Sorry ot hear you're having some concerns! They're pretty easy to address, so hang in there.
First, just as a reminder, anytime you need Tech Support on the Superchip from us, we ask that you please give us a phone call, as our Performance Products documentation that comes with every Superchip we ship point out to do should you have any type of problem, call us.
The public F-150 Online message boards here are not the place to report any problems to us, nor can anyone get Tech Support from us here on the boards, its simply not appropriate, as these are public message boards.
We're happy to anwser questions here when we can, etc., of course, as we always do. But Tech Support cannot be had from us online, for that you need to call us, which is why we point that our in our documentation. We want to give you the best possible service, and that needs to be done by calling us.
Just so you'll know, as I know you have immediate concerns, the Superchip has absolutely nothing to do with your cruise control function. It does not interface with it or change it in any way, that is a completely separate issue. Any problem you're having with your cruise control is unrelated to the Superchip. As another poster mentioned, you might want to check all of your fuses, and if you don't find anythig there, it may be time to check with your dealership.
With regards to your top speed limiter or any other issues, just give us a call at our number below, as your documentation instructs you, & we'll be happy to go over that with you! We're here Monday thru Friday from 10am to 7pm Eastern time, just give us a shout & we'll be happy to go over anything with you.
So please just give us a shout by phone, & we'll be happy to go over all of this with you in detail.
All the best, & hope to speak with you soon!
