Programmer noob needs help with choosing product after V10 swap

Programmer noob needs help with choosing product after V10 swap

I just put a 6.8 V10 out of a 2000 SD into my 99 F150 4x4. The PCM is non-PATS, but my original cluster is not happy with that. I'm looking to purchase a PCM from a V10 Excursion as I understand it will have PATS.

So here is my question - do all of the programmers have the ability to shut off EGR? My V10 is a non-EGR motor and I'm having trouble finding the right PCM. I'm pretty sure a EGR PCM will throw a code if I'm missing the hardware.

I'm also open to opinions of V10 owners and their experience with different programmers.

Yes, I know I'll need to have the dealer or locksmith make PATS happy when I get the replacement PCM.
