You know what, on second thought....let me rephrase this a lil better. I came on this site a couple weeks ago asking the same question as you. Do you know what the best answer was? Research and decide for yourself. What's best for one guy, may not be best for another. There is tons of information and testimonials available on here! Take your time, read till your eyes hurt, and make the decision that's best for you! That's what I did and its taken me till today to decide what to buy!

And remember, its not jus an investment of a programmer, its an investment on your truck. One that can have lasting effects....good or bad!

Troyer is the best but you will be waiting months for your custom tunes.

Do some research on all tuners. I personally have a PHP gryphon I love but then again I dont have experience with any other ones.

Im currently using the Gryphon with the canned tunes. Ive really just begun on the performance mods, so it will be some time before I get custom tunes. Utilizing the 87 canned tune, I have seen (what I consider) a huge difference in the shift pattern and converter lock-up aspects. By far its been the best bang for the buck as of yet.
