Livelink/computer op. system compatibility

Livelink/computer op. system compatibility

I can't seem to find any concrete info I trust, so I'm going to ask here. I need to datalog my truck with my x3, but I only have a mac. I am going to buy an older used laptop just for the sole purpose of installing Livelink and using it a few times to view and email my logs to JDM. My question is, what older laptops op system will work with the newest version livelink? I've read xp and Vista work, any others out there? I'm trying to find something cheap, so probably the oldest compatible system will be my best bet money wise.

I just don't want to buy the wrong one and it end up not working, then have to buy another one! Thanks for any help!

I wouldn't use anything older than XP. You should be able to find a cheap laptop with plenty of guts to run XP. I have a 12 year old IBM Thinkpad T20 with XP that I use solely as a GPS. Here's one for sale:
