Hey guys!

I just wanted to let you know I just recieved my SCT X3 from Mike at 5 Star yesterday. Came with 3 custom tunes for my truck- 87 performance, 87 economy and 91 performance. I loaded 87 performance up and its awesome!! Just the shifting alone made me happy but the extra oomph off the line is great! Nice midrange rpm! Can't wait to try the 91!!

I know this is my first post but I was a lurker here for awhile. I learned a lot from everyone and got me thru a ton with my truck!!

Welcome to the site! It's fun to discover what these trucks are capable of. Why Ford left so much on the table is beyond me.

Yeah I don't get it either. I worked for Ford for 17 years and the plant shutdown on the 16th here in Minnesota. We built the Rangers. I saw it everyday at roll test and you would think we can always make more power through any inovation but it never happens.

 

 

Yea, 5 Star is top notch. I am more of a lurker than a poster myself. I am running the 87 Performance tune as well. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. Really picked up my lower end torque and the trans shifting is incredible. Not sure how much actual HP and torque I gained, but it is a lot better than stock.

 

You got that right mapitts!! I should have did this a long time ago. Custom tunes are the only way to go!
