Finally found "my" tune
So after having issues with a custom tune when I first got my Gryphon two years ago and messing with the canned tunes, I decided to try Bill again.
I got an 89 Custom Tow tune since I ran 89 in the truck with the timing bumped on the canned. This is just my opinion, but this is how the trucks should have come from the factory. I asked him to leave everything alone for the most part but firm up and smooth out the shifting. I had a weird jump in the rpm's on the canned tune. I have one of the trucks that never ran right on the canned tunes. Runs strong, shifts amazing, and even with the cold temps and winter blend 16-17 mixed and 20+ highway. Really is a solid tune and this one is here to stay. When I need to pass on the highway, I give it a bit of gas, smoothly downshifts, and gets going and the second I back-off, smoothly jumps up back to cruising. The throttle response is touchy and quick which I like because when I need to merge onto a faster paced road, there's no hesitation.
The tow tune has gobs of torque down low and get moving at 1900-2300 rpms on the highway when merging which is great because I don't punch it under normal driving and the power comes right where I require it. Just thought I'd share. Bill nailed it and Cody was very helpful in helping me initially before I ordered. Took 2.5-3 weeks from when I ordered to when I got the notification in my inbox. Been running it for two weeks now. PHP

Sounds good. I had a tow tune intended for off road driving that I had pretty much designed then sent to Cody in a long email. Turns out it gets good mileage on the highway loaded/unloaded and is nice around town with a less touchy pedal.
That's great Longshot... thanks to you and Jack and 88 for all your help answer questions where I had them. I appreciate it
I would like to get a wideband down the road so I can datalog it at some point.
