Just got a used Gryphon from an other forum member. I updated it, put it in today. Got it on tow playing around with it..then set my gears/tire size. OMG I'm impressed. Cool toy. Just got back from taking the wife on a couple hr ride. She was also impressed. Wanted to thank all in the forum for all the info that's posted and answers to my questions.

 

i have a custom tuned SCT X3 from VMP. I only have a V6 but it was a great difference. right now running the 87 performance tune with 87 octane gas. i am in higher elevation so i CAN use 85 but it acts so sluggish compared to using 87. but i was in PA with just my intake, then moved to colorado springs and lost a lot of power. so i bought my tuner and pretty much got it all back. just want to go on a vacation to see how much quicker my truck will be, especially against my buddy's 5.3L 06 silverado.

 

Really makes them fun to drive and I became totally dependant on the gauges.

 

Same here. Whenever I remove it I feel like something is missing.

Owned Fords all my life. Use to off road them and beat the hell outa them. Rebuild it and go back. Much older now = more careful. Always bought them with gauges, no idiot light when possible. I gotta admit that these gryphon's do let the beast out. I do love driving it more, but what can I say....it's a FORD.
