most shifts I do around 5800RPMs
NOT a good idea - you shouldn't take a stock torque converter above 5400 rpm, it may balloon on you.

Ive got 105k on my 05 now. 80k of it was with my Edge evolution. It has been one of the best mods done to my truck. I wouldnt run without one. The added gauges, keep the driver aware of whats going on. The ability to monitor many different functions and check diagnostics is essential to keep your vehicle running as it should. Even if you dont perform your own work , if a problem should arise, you will have a better idea of whats going on and what to tell your mechanic.

I had my tuner installed for over 100K miles with absolutely no problems on my 01 Screw 5.4.

I had a Superchips module, then SCT flash tuner for my '98 150. Had an SCT flash tuner for my '04 F150 Lightning. Had an SCT flash tuner for my '06 Expedition, and now have an SCT flash tuner for my '11 F150. I don't put a ton of miles on my trucks before trading them in, but I never have had any problem with any truck that could be attibuted to tuning. I wish that all of the vehicles that I drive had custom tuning.

if a tuning device breaks a vehicle it's either operator error or common sense has been ignored
