(With custom tunes from Mike Butler at 5Startuning.com).

The tuning device is just the tool; the tunes are the REALLY important piece of the puzzle.

gotcha, I plan on getting it and then sending it off to troyer or 5star to get a max tow tune. I really want the livewire to display transmission temps while towing.

the actual programmer is frggin huge though.. i would go with a SCT loader and an edge insight to display. the sct lacks display capabilities in my opinion. but this is for a gasser, i don't like what it displays on my diesel.

im not worried about the tuner looking ugly or being big, I just want a easily viewable screen, on screen guages and a tuner that works well.

I got my livewire, it needed the frimware updated so I called SCT. They stayed on the phone with me and my computer for atleast and hour and a half updating it. The whole device is big but its fine by me. I didnt get a window sunction cup mount with it so I need to make my own custom mount. I tried data logging with livelink and it is bad a$$. I can see everything real time.

glad you like it. the display is just a pain in the *** to get in the right spot. the mount they try to sell you sucks anyway. i did find that mounted high in the window with the cables run behind it and in the A pillar trim is best for me.. i need to try this data logging you speak of...

I have it mounted like this for now. I never use the ashtray or lighter. I used Livelink to load new real time moniters of engine coolant temp, transmission fliud temp and engine oil temp.
