Hi Red bull,

The only differences are very minor changes for driveabiliy issues primarily, as those 3 codes are found on certain 1999 5.4 engine F-150's.

However, where all the various functions are located in the program is all changed, and so they are not "interchangeable" as far as the Superchip goes, the Superchip must match each code exactly.

None of those 3 codes will make any difference in engine power output, for example; you don't find any real difference in engine power output among any of the factory programs for these vehicles.

what does irt mean that thede are found on certain f150's. are they a less common chip. did ford do something different with these trucks. are different chips from different climates or parts of the country. i have the zzt3. are they in order of update . is a 3 older then a 4 .?
i plan to put your chip in soon but i want to do the exhaust first. or does it matter if i go for the chip first. would it need to go back to you after i do the exhaust. i fnot i will do it first.

Hi las52,

They are released in order, so ZZT3 came before ZZT4, and ZZT4 came before ZZT5, and so on, that's why those numbers are there. I wouldn't worry about why vehicles have whatever codes they have, it's a non-issue other than needing to know what code you have for the Superchip. The different codes on the exact same identical vehicle are primarily minor changes that are basically transparent to you as the vehicle owner/driver, and nothing you need to be concerned about, realistically speaking. Some codes are used for months, some for weeks, and some for only days; there are hundreds of different codes each model year alone in these F-150's, and in any high-production vehicle from any automaker, it's not just Ford. All the different codes on the same basic vehicle don't make any difference in power, they're primarily just minor running updates that will not have a noticeable affect to the driver, so it doesn't matter what code your vehicle has, except that you need to know what your code is to get the correct Superchip.

You can do your exhaust first if you like, that will be fine, it won't have a negative impact on your results by installing the Superchip after the exhaust, so just so what makes you happiest first!
