I found my original monochrome Evo for $298, and got my CS for $360 after some searching.

It's just a monochrome screen,or plain old Evolution. The CS (color screen) is about $70 more. I actually liked my monochrome Evolution better than my current CS, but with the power cord problems they had, I wasn't taking the chance.
Your year is fine, the problems were with the 2003 and older truck models.
