Diablo vs PHP tuner

So I'm looking for a custom tuner for my 05 f150. The truck has a 80mm tb,K@N CAI. I use the truck to tow 20% of the time and 80% daily driving. Which tuner would you use and why?

I have PHP tunes so I'm propbably biased, but here is my understnding of the Diablo. They do not have their own people writing custom tunes, but have a network of shops that do the tuning. They are muffler shops, speed shops, etc. I would be concerned that they may not know enough about my truck as maybe they are primarily a Mustang tuner. Bill at PHP knows these trucks inside out and knows how to deal with your specific mods. Plus, with the Gryphon, you get gauges and after using them for 3 years, they are indispensible to me.

Using a PHP monochrome Gryphon or a SCT xcal3 from VMPtuning along with custom tunes from either of them would be a good choice....

Go to the forum at the Diablo site listed in 88racing's sig or call both Diablo and PHP and ask them whatever questions you need answered to help with your decision.

There are probably very few people on this site that have run or dealt with both to be able to give you a true apples to apples comparison.

I bought the Predator and have one of their dyno tuners within an hour's drive that specializes in both Mustangs and F150s to go to when I decide to get a true custom tune. There are canned tunes for your specific brand intake on the Predator straight out of the box.

custom tunes by a reputable tuner will be the best you can get (regardless which device they use)
