Advantages of level 1 transmision and 2 towing on the Edge Evo Programmer

I have been running level 2 but I am currious what the advantages are of running 1 or 2? What is recommended by some of yall who have used them for a while and what if any are the disadvantages?

I am looking for more throttle response and better MPG (obviously you wont get better MPG if your driving with a heavy foot but under normal driving conditions which is going to give me better MPG?)

Thanks guys

I run the edge evolution. I have used level 1 the most, right now I am testing out level 3 because I found premium fuel for the price of regular but once that tank is gone its back to level one. I live in the country lots of hills and with level one I feel that my transmission shifts a lot better. I have also found myself baying my right foot because I can watch the mpg. With level 0 I can get 14 ish mpg and with level 2 I can get on it a little more to get up to speed and still keep between 15 and 17 mpg depending on the road I'm on.

Theoretically Level 1 should be better as Level 2 uses a richer AFR to assist in reducing EGT. It also should up-shift sooner and downshift later (lower RPMs) to get the truck in the highest gear possible as soon as possible.

But even better - get it converted to a Gryphon and have it shift WHEN YOU WANT it to.

I have heard a lot about getting the Gryphon. Shotgunz what kind of millage are you getting? I ran a 3 hour trip to the beach and didn't seam to do any better on the highway which surprised me. I am also leveled and on a little bigger tire. well shorter but wider

Level 1 only adjusts the tranny shift points and firmness....

Level 2 adjusts the....timing, fuel trims, shift points, and shift firmness.....
