Cool Edge opinions????????

Hey all, I am going to purchase a new cs for my 2010 super crew and was looking for opinions as to if I really need customs tunes? Daily driving conditions are mostly what this truck will endure. Towing a couple of quads in a enclosed trailer a few times a year is the most work out this garage queen is ever going to see. Gas mileage is my main concern. Our 5.4's are not very user friendly to the old fuel pumps.I have noticed a few people have stated that gas mileage depends on the drivers lead foot and the individual trucks. If I see a improvement of 3 to 4 miles that would be just fine by me. Thanks!!

25-35% improvement? So would everyone else...

Expect 0.0; be satisfied with .5; be happy with .75; and start bragging at 1.0.

All depends on how you drive it.

The only way you are going to see that is if you trade it in for a 2011 with a 5.0 or EB.

You sound like a candidate to petition for this: https://www.f150online.com/forums/co...sub-forum.html

Sorry: FE is not gonna happen.

+6,000 lb mass + enormous 30% driveline loss + abysmal drag + barn-door aeros + stone-age thermal efficiency = completely unremarkable MPG's.

I am glad I bought my edge. My only nagging concern was that the canned tunes offered were a 87 tow tune and a 91 perf. tune. The tow tune runs out of breath when you get into it, and I didn't really want to spend the extra $$ just to just the 91 perf. gas. So, I just sent it in to be upgraded to a Gryphon and their 87 perf. tune.

I'll post here what my opinion is of the difference, but currently I can't reach anyone at PHP to get information on what's going on, or if they even recieved it yet.
