Will a tuner help?

Ever since I installed my MBRP SISO, my truck likes to unlock the torque converter when accelerating at part throttle and the RPMS tend to float until I let off. I'm thinking it's starting to damage the trans as I've heard the torque converter buzz on more than one occasion. I'm guess that I lost some low end torque with the exhaust swap and the engine has to be higher in the rpms to accelerate like it did before the exhaust swap. Not a whole lot of mods either. exhaust, AEM panel filter, and 275/60r20 wheels/tires. Thanks.

Your trucks probably been shifting like that the whole time and now with that muffler you're able to hear it...

A programmer with custom tunes helps any truck....from stock, to mild mods, to heavy mods.....

IMO

X2 - but there is more than that going on here.

Any mod the reduces torque is a mod to avoid - these heavy bricks absolutley require more, not less, especially down low....

So yes - a custom tuner will help - with regard to both torque production and TC behaviour. But it's one step back, two steps forward.

This is presuming, of course, that you do NOT have an actual tranny problem - maintenance history on the trans?

Good luck
