Tuners for SCT

Hello,

Im new to the truck scene, as I have recently just sold my mustang for a 2004 F150. I have my SCT XCAL3 that I kept from my mustang, and made sure to return the mustang back to stock before i sold it. My question is who are some of the best tuners for these trucks using a SCT product?

I know about Justin at VMP tuning, as he was a big tuner in the mustang scene. Does he do tunes for these trucks as well? Also, who are some other tuners?

Thanks.

Are you running tunes from him? If so, how do you like them?

Also, I was wondering about the effect of ethanol on these motors when running tunes. When I had the stang with tunes, I was running a 93 Performance tune on it, and once ethanol was introduced into the gasoline, my motor would ping, like a detonation sound. Do these motors do the same, and is there a product that would help this if they do?

Thanks.

Nope,
My tunes are from PHP......
But I highly recommend Justin......

I have not heard of any pinging problems from e10.....

More of the pinging comes from members running cold air intakes without custom tunes on the 5.4 3v and or the very few of some calibrations that needed tweeking....

I exchanged email with Justin at VMP just today. I was asking about the X3 versus the Touch Screen Extreme. He confirmed that he has tunes for the F150. I don't know if I will get the X3 (proven) or the touch Screen Extreme (not so proven), although Justin says they operate just the same as far as the tunes go.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Touch Screen Extreme?

The touch screen just seems like overkill IMO. I would rather just have a tuner and an actual head unit.
