Good move? or bad?

Okay so I was reading on here and finally came to the conclusion I wanted the edge cs unit and I would run "canned" tunes for a while and then contact Bill at PHP and get some custom tunes done. It seemed like the best option to me, but now that I ordered it with the dash pod, I get back on here and I see all of these bashing edge threads. Did I make a bad move and pull the trigger a little too early? now even MGD "doesn't reccomend" edge
I really like having the gauges, but is this unit not going to solve my throttle delay and SLAMMING into gear at half throttle after a delay?

Hi.

I editied my sig a bit based upon Sir Jack's recent input and recent revelations that Edge is 'working' on more comprehensive TCM support for the 09+ platform.

In your case, I dont think anyone can really assure you that yer specific issues will disappear with a canned device. It's possible - but it is also possible (and likely) that it will not, since Edge themselves now admit there is little/no TCM interaction. And your issue seems tranny-centric in nature.

This glaring omission and 'Maskirovka' (a Soviet term - very applicable here; lol) is my predominant basis for my current position.

With custom tuning that fully supports TCM manipulations (e.g. SCT) I believe yer problem is solvable - as you can interactively work with the tuner feller until it gets nailed ( part of what 'custom' brings to the table).

Good luck
