Just got the UPS notification...

My new Gryphon is sitting on my front porch at home. Can't wait to get there and play a bit.

Order placed Wednesday after lunch and delivered today, now that's service. Of course I'm less than 200 miles from PHP's shop.

Rob, Did you order custom tunes? If so that is probably why. If not I dunno???! Guess I just got lucky. Sorry dude didn't mean to break line.

I can tell you that I'm really pleased right now. Got it set on canned 93 perf tune for now. Gonna try the fuel mileage for 2 or 3 tanks then switch back to 87 and compare. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Did you update with Fusion? I seem to have lost my PHP tunes and received the Edge tunes when I did this.

I didn't update with Pegasus. Don't think I use Fusion at all with the Gryphon. The CS and CTS I think are the only ones to use Fusion. But I could be wrong. From what I read, it looks to me like I only need to update or connect to Pegasus if I'm loading custom tunes, but I could be wrong. I figure if it's fresh off the shelf it should be fairly up to date. I'll maybe order custom tunes in another month or two.

You are correct.....
If you have the monochrome Gryphon then you will not need to update it when it arrives.

You are also correct that the monochrome one does use Pegasus instead of fusion.

Thanks for backing me up on that 88! I was 99% but am glad you confirmed.

I have to say that I am really glad I made this purchase. It's like the truck just woke up from a long nap. It's not a huge power difference like you'd get with a diesel programmer, but it's really nice. The shifting is awesome and I'm sure will get better. Before I had a terrible hesitation at kick-down, but no more. I drops down nice n crisp, as it should. The shift routine is much better. The power all the way through the RPM range is there, especially just the throttle response.
