I have a volant CAI and a BBK throttle body that I want to put on my 5.4 I already have an edge evo installed will I have to do anything to the edge after installing these parts?

 

Need to know what year of 5.4.

 

The Edge tunes are written for stock intakes and the CAI will do little for you. It can possibly cause you to run lean, especially if it's a 2004-2005. The throttle body won't help you as the factory throttle body is more than adequate for what the engine can handle. I would get my money back on both items if you can and do the Gotts mod. Do a search on the Gotts mod or look in the index of the Articles and How Tos.

I would not dare put a CAI on a 2004 5.4 without custom tunes. That engine came from the factory in a near lean condition.

 

These will help you out only by emptying your pocket book unless you incorperate the CAI along with custom tunes.

Forget the throttle body it will not help.

That means you should contact PHP for an upgrade.
Or just do the Gotts nod for your truck.
