I looked at it today, I love the size and the functions but i don't like the fact that it cant be custom tuned. I have never used a bullydog on a gas vehicle but i don't know of many power stroke guys who car for them.

If it is a real good deal and you pass up on it let me know. Not everyone needs custom tuning, if you are just looking for a heads up display that will show you what is going on with your truck (monitors a lot more than the 4 factory gauges) and you want a little pick up in power and tranny programming there is nothing wrong with this type of programmer.

Don't get me wrong custom tuning is nice but especially if you are getting a deal it is not the end all be all.

As far as the brand I have never heard anything horrible about them know several people with them. Again it has the display which the basic SCT's won't they are just programmers for more money you can get the monitors I have had good luck with them and like them alot as for the Edge...... not so much.

I guess the SCT Livewire or SCT SF3 never crossed your mind

I agree with Quack. Not everybody is looking for custom tuning. The majority of consumers are looking for a little extra power and fuel economy. For the guys that want more SCT is a good choice

Crossed my mind just fine take a second and I said the "BASIC" would not consider the livewire a basic SCT programmer. and the SCT SF3 has no display module it is just a plug in programmer download and remove but I appreciate you helping me prove my point.
