EDGE EVOLUTION worth it?

Got a 07 fx4 screw. getting new tired and wheels shortly, and wondering if the evo is forth the price. I like the fact you can adjust tire size for the speedo and all the temp functions and what not, I travel alot of hwy miles on the weekend, will it increase mpg ? also here horror stories about them screwing the truck up , that true? i will be adding exhaust in the future.

I don't recall any instance where a tuner has screwed up a truck. There have been some idiots using a tuner that may have, but the tuner didn't do it. The Edge did not increase my mpg, but I would not want to drive my truck without the tunes. I started with the Edge, then upgraded to PHP custom tunes.

I like my Evo, my truck feels soft and squishy with the stock tune compared to the Edge tunes. You will also love the gauge feature, I use mine instead of the dash. And as previously stated, now you can customize them even more now when you feel the need. To answer your question Yes, its worth it.

Edge evolutions are good.
But if you want to take it to the next level without wasting time or money then get the original Gryphon with custom tunes.

Agreed! Unless you get lucky like me and are able to get you hands on a Edge in good shape that works right for a sweet deal.

I still plan to send it in and upgrade it to the Gryphon but when the $ to do so is there.

But for now i'm lovin the Edge as it is.

Even if you cant get custom tunes on the gryphon right now go ahead and get it with canned tunes and you can order the custom ones later. I would bet the farm you will love the canned ones but eventually you will even want more and thats were the custom ones come in play. If you go with the edge you can olny get custom tunes if you send it to Bill and have him upgrade it and then put the custom tunes in it. I havent done it myself because I dont want to be back at a stock truck for 6-10 weeks waiting on it to be upgraded.

Good choice! I finally put one on my truck just over a year or so ago and kick myself for not doing it sooner (bought the truck new in 04). I played with the Level 3 but since I leave the speed and racing to others, I just leave it on canned Level 2 and enjoy the much noticed low end increase.

Edge evo, it was the best bang for my buck! It really works, looks great on the dash and best of all it's cheap in price compare to others.

Found one locally for sale off an 07 for $250. Gonna low ball to see what I can get it for. I never used a programmer or tune on anything I have owned. Thinking about trying it.
