fuel type and edge evo

I have an Edge Evolution on the way in the mail, I am just curious about fuel quality.

Can I still use 87 octane and get some benefit to the programmer? Or must I upgrade to 89 or 91 octane to see any benefit?

I am sure to see the greatest benefit I need to use 91, but am definately not in need of the boost in power all the time for my regular city driving to and from work.

Level 1 is just a shift tune and is written for 87, level 2 is a tow tune and is also written for 87. Level 3 is a performance tune and is written for 91. If you run 93 on level 3, you bump the timing +1.0. If you want to look at a manual while you wait, you can go to their site and download a printable copy.

I ran 93 with level 3 for about 30,000 miles as that tune fit my needs the best. I got enough better mileage over the tow tune that it offset the higher price. I now have a custom 87 Perfomance tune and have the best of both worlds.
