will this work??
will this work??
i bought a SCT tuner for my mustang...
well i have traded my dad my mustang for his truck,
i was wondering if when i go back home, if i could pick up my tuner that i had bought for my stang (98 gt) and use it on the truck (01 5.4L screw) or will it not work... (hoping that the stang is still at home so i can take off the program)

Of course sir - as long as you can return the unit to stock so that it is unlocked, any competent SCT dealer can write new tunes for yer truck. As is the current tuning will NOT work.
You did not specify which model device - if it was an X2/X3 SF tuner, or a Livewire ( with embedded canned tuning) it will work as those vehicles are all supported (may require updates - see SCT website). If custom, no.
I'd recommend VMP, Troyer Performance or PHP. All are superb SCT custom tuners with many many satisfied customers right here on this forum.

Please note that, if you cannot for some reason get the unit unlocked it will need to be sent into an SCT dealer to unlock it - at a cost to you.
Good luck and have a great weekend!

And good morning to you!

Stupid me, I forgot to check to see if the SCT line of tuners covered multiple engine platforms.
As usual, "His Royal Bucket of Information" is correct.

It's noon somewhere, so
to you!
