Edge Programer??
I wanted to purchase the edge since I can change the tire size setting but I also heard that the Edge is not good since it can damage the computer or something all I want is to change the tire size is there any other chip or programer I can use for that setting???
Can you provide us a little more information please?
May I ask where you heard that and who told you this?
Damage it how?
If all you want to do is change the tire size, your local dealer or mechanic is probably the least expensive option.
This post will be very alarming to a large number of members/Edge owners.

Based on my experience, those incidents are definitely the small majority and are rarely caused by the programmer. If your truck is sick, using a programmer can definitely make it really sick (or at least magnify a pre-existing mechanical or electrical issue).
I'm sure other Edge/Gryphon owners will be along shortly to tell you how many trouble-free years/miles they've had their Edge. All programmers function in the same way, so if you're concerned about damage, you probably need to find another option.
As I said, your dealer/mechanic is one choice.

1. Ford's torque reduction strategy during shifts.
2. Line pressures in the transmission.
3. The delay between clutch band release and lockup of the bands in the new gear.

OP, sir ... I believe I know the 'other' forum of which you speak. I'm afraid that, sadly ... some of the fellows on there giving advice on this topic cannot find their posterior orifices given two hands and a mirror. How very unfortunate. And - how fortunate for you to seek another opinion. Bravo.

I have almost 99,000 miles on my truck, 68,000 of them with a tune. The Edge for abput 31,000 and the Gryphon custom tune for about 37,000. I can not imagine driving my truck without a tune.
I do not recall a single incident where a tune messed up the PCM or the transmission. There have been cases where someone was laoding a tune with a weak battery and had trouble, but most situations are user error.
