Is it worth the hype?

I just got a 2K Ford Lariat F250 6.8L v10. I love my new pickup! Noticing that i only get about 9.4mpg, and was wondering if a programmer would really increase my power and overall mpg? i've been doing some research online but don't if its all the tech. data is just b-s. i want to hear from people that actually have one before i "nut up" $1K. any information would be great.

OK, forget $1K....drop ~$350 on a Predator (U7152 part number) for your V10 powered F250, load the 87 or premium fuel tune, and enjoy +25-30 rwhp/30-40 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels, plus it will improve your mileage anywhere from 2-3 MPG depending on your driving style.

You'll also see better shifting performance, better throttle response, and more.

Lemme know if you need anything else!

Thanks
Mike

Thanks Diablo! Wow only 350 bucks!? That's nothing, I've been looking into ones that were like 800 to 1k dollars. Glad I came on here. I just was told if I went cheap, I would get cheap results. Is it easy to put in? To my understanding its all plug and play.

Yes, the Predator is very easy to use.

It also does datalogging, and allows you to read and clear trouble codes, and if you decide to go nuts in the future with mods, it can even be loaded with custom tunes from any of our CMR tuning dealers!

Plug it in, select the tune you want to install, and it will save your stock tune, then install the new tune, whole process takes less than 5 minutes!

The Predator also comes with a 2 year warranty, and readily available tech support right on your favorite forum

Being a customer, I have to agree with mike. It works great and the support you'll get is outstanding

I'm actually at work looking into this. I want to pick one up and do some serious upgrades before summer. The money I will save, I can get my intake and exhaust!

I would also like to add that although the Predator in not $1000 it offers great performance with the capability to get new upgraded tunes with out having to pay for them when they become available. Good product!

Don't expect any miracles - the V-10 guzzles gas no matter what you do to it. You may be able to pick up 1 or 2 more MPG, that's about it. I'd take care of periodic maintenance first - such as a fresh set of Motorcraft spark plugs and the other associated items you would do for a "tuneup".
