Cool Shorty's or custom tune?

Have k&n cai
after-cat flowmaster forty single
everything else stock

new to the forum and have been reading alot. Not too many of you have the shorty headers on your mods.

Got alot of good ideas about ther gryphon tuner, looking for performance and maybe mileage gains if possible.

Thanks!

Shorty's have no significant benefit. If you're going to do headers, do LT's. I would go ahead and get the programmer though, you're going to notice a lot more "change" in how your truck performs from that.

Try a programmer that's custom tunable.
Use that for your cornerstone of your mods.

A custom tuner and cold air intake should always be the first mods, especially on the late model Fords. The shorty headers won't do much of anything. Definitely want to go with equal (mid) lengths or longtubes.
