Do some reading and you'll see that a custom tuned Xcal3 from one of the big guys is the way to go! I actually bought the Edge for my truck first. It did make the truck faster but the driveability wasn't good at all. It shifted very weird and made it uncomfortable to drive. I ended up selling it to a buddy for $100 and got a custom tuned Xcal3 from VMP Tuning. I can't tell you enough good things about it. It was without a doubt the best mod I did to my truck so far. It made the truck much faster than the Edge, it drives and shifts awesome, and gets better gas mileage as well!

I love my Edge. But having said that, if I didn't already have a 1st gen (flash only), I would gone with an Gryphon or Xcal. They are both quality products. Bill (PHP) was involved with eveloping the EDge, so he knows them inside and out, and they offer the gages. The Xcal, is a litle cheaper buy in, and more people are writing tunes for them, Troyer, and Vmp for two. It comes down to personal taste, and wants. Edge also has two new products, CTS, and CS out, and PHP should be offering their version soon.
