more power on top end??

i hope this is the right place to post this..

i have a 2000 f150 5.4 and it picks up and goes pretty well. will beat most any chevy truck you put near me. (with the exception of ss trucks lol)
but anywho. i was wondering what would give me the most top end power 3-5k rpm aside from forced induction.(i dont have the funding for that)

it seems from a dig, its pretty quick. itll push you in your seat. but on the highway.. not so much.

thanks

i was considering cams
i already have cai and true dual w/ highflows will be here before summer

its not tuned yet, but the way i see it..ide like to get the majority of my add ons put on before i get tuned so i dont have to turn around and tune it again.

are cams going to give me a noticable amount of power?
