Where do i find?

ok im new on here and a few months back i bought an 2006 F-150 it was stock when i bought it and since then i have installed a afe power intake and im thinking of getting an edge evo chip and i keep read on here about these PHP custom tunes and the Gryphon and i was wondering what they do and is it in my best interest to get it. One other question since installing the intake i have gotten a shake that i can now feel in side the truck and from alittle bit of reading this forum i have found that it might be from intake drone and i was wondering if there was any way to get rid of it?

thanks
Kris

First, welcome.

Second, check out the sticky thread at the top of this forum. It will give you a ton of information about programmers, including the Edge Evolution and PHP's Gryphon. (In short, both essentially the same thing, one can just be custom tuned. You can read more about it in the sticky thread.)

Finally, I don't know that installing an intake would directly cause a shaking like you've mentioned, but I'm no expert in that area. Have you tried removing the intake to see if it still happens? To answer your question, since you have an 06, you shouldn't have a problem with the lean condition experienced with the 5.4 engines. This was a problem mostly with 04 and 05 engines.

You are on the right track, though. A custom tune will help you gain the most out of the intake you've added. PHP, Troyer, SCT, and others can create a custom tune to help your truck account for the increased airflow the intake provides. Again, do some more browsing around in this forum. There's a ton of information to be had. And, don't be afraid to ask questions too.
