2 questions?

ok first 1 i think i know the answer but, just in case. if i put a 255LP fuel pump in do i need a custom tune? 2nd where is the best place to get a 90mm MAF and 4in adapter plate. it will work with the stock injectors or will it need to be calibrated. thanks.

A higher capacity fuel pump would not require a custom tune, if the system has a properly functioning fuel pressure regulator. Nothing wrong with Ford's 90mm MAF. Your PCM will have to be calibrated for the MAF's transfer function. Calibrating the MAF for different injector sizes is old school. Getting the transfer function for Ford's 90mm MAF is not a big deal. The same applies to injector values.

thats what i figured, but will i need to readjust the fuel pressure regulator after the install? heres the other thing all i can find is the lightning housing, it doesn't come with the sensor itself, but the stock one will go in it, i am wondering where to buy from that has every thing.

Well if you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, I'd adjust it to 39 lbs. without vacuum and with vacuum should be the range of 32-36 lbs. The Ford 90mm MAF came on later model Cobras and Lightnings and it shouldn't be hard to locate one on ebay. Ford Racing also makes a replacement. I had no problem finding a complete one in a google search.

Why are you switching maf and injectors? Those two alone will not increase performance, but require custom tuning.

i'm not swapping injectors.... yet, i will hopefully by this time next year be sporting a procharger. but for now i'm going to gether parts, like 90mm maf, and 255lp fuel pump, and since they should work with what i got now, i might as well put them on and in.

Planning ahead is good! You may find the best pricing on the injectors and maf together rather than seperately.

I'd wait until you have your supercharger before installing the MAF and injectors. Both are big time overkill for a stock engine and since you'd have to have a custom tune to run both (injectors and MAF), you'd need another custom tune for the supercharger. Because of the difference in calibrations, you'd only be using about 30% of the MAF resolution, and depending on injector, you'd be using an extremely low duty cycle. There's no reason you can't start accumulating parts, however.

i wasn't planning on installing injectors, just the maf and fuel pump. and i will be upgrading to a gryphon this winter, and get a custom tune.
