alright experts i have a guy wanting to sell me a edge for the 97-03 f150 for a good price. If i buy this is it guaranteed to work on my 03 5.4 or is there a chance that i have to send it in and have it programmed for my truck.

 

i just bought an edge off ebay and if the last truck it was used on was returned to stock before it was removed, then u will be able to program and uson yours. i got mine really cheap and im gonna send it to PHP and get it upgraded to a gryphon. u will love it, it makes a nice noticeable difference..

 

ok thanks now if i go pick it up and plug it in the truck with the guy there can i tell if it will work or not. I just dont want the guy to say "ya i returned my truck to stock" then buy it and find out later that he didnt

 

um im pretty sure it should come up with a lil warning and u press enter to acknowledge, and it will let u know right away if it doesnt work when u plug it in and turn keyswitch to on posistion... u mya have to ask someone else but mine worked so i havent seen one not work yet.

 

yea, if you plug the edge in and the last guy has not returned his truck to the stock tune then you will not be able to program your truck.
