Gryphon or Tires first?

Looking to hear what the thoughts are on the most logical and beneficial sequence is for the truck mod. I understand the tires will be a little more expensive than the Gryphon (305/65R18 BFG - so a lot more), but want to hear the opinions of what should be modded first. I already have the S&B CAI and a Magi SI/SO and a tuner is what I thought would be the next logical step, but with the tires SOON to come, I want to make sure the tuner is programmed for the bigger tires...make sense? any comments are welcome.

No, does not make sense. Most if not all tuners are adjustable for the size of whatever tire you are running. I would get the tuner first as you are not getting much gain from the CAI without custom tunes. That means an Xcal3 or gryphon will benefit you the most.

Makes sense now, thought you had to have the tuner custom tuned for what tires you had on at the time...after the post there was also a pretty good response by ya'll with similiar questions on a seperate post. Look forward to see how the tuner comes out.

With the gryphon, you can adjust the same things with custom tunes that you could with the canned tunes. Timing, shift pressure, fuel ratio, gears, tires, shift points, etc. However, if the custom tunes are written properly for your set up, you would only need to change gears or tire setting if you made changes after the tunes are written. The only thing I ever change is tire size and that is when I switch between my two sets of wheels and tires. Hope this helps.

You will need new tires after you get the Gryhon custom tunes.
