Just ordered custom tunes from VMP!!!

I just got done ordering my SCT Xcal3 and custom tunes from Justin @ VMP Tuning! After talking with him I felt really comfortable making the purchase so I went ahead and got it done while I was in the mood. I got the 87 gas mileage, 87 performance, and 93 performance tunes. Justin said he could tune for S&B intakes and they were on sale for $243 so I went ahead and ordered it as well. Hope everything turns out good!

I also cheated by adding these items to my signature. I had to!!

I guess I'm not the only one then!

I got the intake from autoanything.com

They are normally $269.95 but they had them on sale today for $242.96. Though it was a good deal so I jumped on it.

I went direct from S&B since I wanted the custom engraving they offer for the clear top cover.

The intake came in a few days ago, and my tuner is half way to my home. But I'll be out west for another two weeks or so for work, so time is s l o w!

The only thing I did different was an 87 towing in place of your 87 economy tune. I think we will both be pleased!

Glad to here you made a choice on a tuner.

Looking at your sig I see a sv650. Man that's a cool bike. I raced with them(I used to have 3) on a flat track course. Best improvements to mine were a two brothers racing exhaust, from header to muffler. One of the bikes I had was bored out to a 700. That same bike also weighed in at 225lbs, thanks to carbon fiber.

Aww man that sucks! So the tuner has already been shipped to you? How long did it take Justin to write the tunes and get the tuner shipped out? I think I'm going to call and get him to swap the 87 economy for the 87 tow program. I wasn't even thinking about trailering the boat all summer and it's pretty heavy ('08 Mastercraft Xstar). Other than the boat the most I ever tow is a couple atv's.

I LOVE the SV650! The motor makes it really fun in the twisties and like you said the weight is pretty light. At 225 lbs your's was really light!

Not long at all...Four or five business days I think. And he was pretty busy also, so pretty damn good.

As far as the towing tune, if your going to pull a heavy boat, I'd ask Justin to change it also. Besides, from what I hear, most people on here leave the truck on performance as their daily driver anyway.

FYI, according to justin all of his tunes are "tow safe". My boat weighs in around 4,000 pounds depending on what gear I have in it and I do not change out of the performance tune to pull it to the lake that is around 45 minutes away, pulls just fine. However if going somewhere further and more highway I will put it in tow mode just to keep the TC locked more in OD.

4000lbs, Hefty boat! I'm pulling a 1200lb bass boat, that's just the hull weight no gear or motor. What kind of boat are you pulling?

1200 lbs is light!

I don't know what he pulls but the Mastercraft Xstar I tow during the summer weighs in at 4250 and the trailer weighs 1240 lbs. That's right at 5500 lbs and that includes no gear, fluids, gas, or other people. I would say I'm around 7000 lbs loaded down and ready to go. It's definitely heavy!

I love my tunes from VMP. I'm sure you'll be just as impressed. I've heard that the S&B cai is a great intake.

Hehehe, yup..the lighter the better for what use it for. Need to stay light to get out of the hole before the competition!

Never really weighed it with fluids, gear, motor and trailer.
