The gryphon from what I understand is an Edge Evolution reprogrammed through PHP. I am thinking about doing this as I have an Edge. Just find a Edge Evolution somewhere and send it in for a upgrade to the gryphon

 

how much is the upgrade and what is the added features?

 

From what I understand Bill and Corey are not doing your truck model at all anymore.

They will reprogram an edge as previously mention in this thread. With a '99 that would be the way to go. Buy a used edge and have it upgraded. This way you know it comes with the cable that already works. Corey has said before they will sell it as soon as edge fixes their cables. Also, look into the X3 from them if you don't want the gauges (I say gryphon though, you want the gauges )

No edge upgrades for 97-03 either. That is also mentioned in that thread. The only way right now is the xcal3. Add the scan gauge if you want gauges.

 

cant i still get the edge and find someone that IS doing custom tunes...Or cant you do custom tunes on the edge. What is the difference between the two? That is mainly what i am trying to understand because edge doesnt provide this type of information, only the consumer can! lol

 

Ok the edge upgrade php offers is no more until the cable problem gets straightened out with edge. That's who supplies php with cables. So in other words you can only use the edge and the canned tunes right now. Php is the only only one tuner who converts the edge.

You could go xcal3 and a scan guage?

Here's where we stand right now.

For now, we are not selling the Gryphon for the 97-03 F-150.

In addition, we are not upgrading the 97-03 F-150 Evo until the cable issue is resolved.

I said that because there must be at least 10 diff threads per page on the Gryphon, with info, where to buy them and all the info you need, but you ask who wants to sell you one and where do you get them ?
