i just purchased a tuner ( sct x3 ) and it has at the bottom vmp tunning.com
? this is unlocked. do i have to use vmp for my tunes or does the tuner come with tunes? i didnt think to ask before i bought it? i am new to tuning but am eager to learn......

 

Should have 3 canned tunes already installed IF it states 3015 on the package.

 

i actually got this used w/o a box.

 

May have to call SCTFlash.com to give them the serial to see if it is a 3015.

 

Hopefully it's not currently married to another car or truck.

well it when i plug it in to my truck it says unlocked with 5 unlocks left.
i'm going to call sct and check it out..... some other guyssay it should still have the pre
programed tunes in it. i'll check it out... thanks

 

You might give VMP a call (as it came from his shop) and ask about this tuner. You would have your answer, and may even ask about his custom tunes.

Sounds like he's got an Xcal3, so only custom tunes. Just contact Justin @ VMP and order some custom tunes for it.
