Folks, new to the forum here so excuse me if it’s been posted and I’ve missed it. Where is the data on the 5.4 which shows dyno results for a new air intake, headers, exhaust and possible a new ECU? I’m not accustomed to such a weak response under the go pedal but installing a turbo or supercharger is out of the question. This 5.4 is terribly anemic but the cost of a supercharger or turbo is out of the question as that solution seems to be in the $6k range. Up to $3K is OK for documented results. Thanks in advance.

 

what year of 5.4?? 2 or 4 wheel drive? how do you use your truck???



for 3 grand you can find a lightly used supercharger



if not, long tube headers, a CAI, gear swap, custom tune, shift kit and e-fans would make a great increase in the butt dyno and eventually you'll want more

 

I should have posted that info ~ 2005, 4x4. App is for hauling dogs and myself around. Virtually no towing or hauling. A gear swap seems not likely to happen. What's a CIA and custom tune? So no vendor has taken their products to the dyno to prove their worth? Last time I bought a chip and exhaust, the vendor has certified posts, and the butt dyno verified it.
