Question 2 Voice Mails and 1 Email to PHP... No responce...

So this week I left two voice mails and this morning sent an email to PHP with ?'s about ordering my Gryphon. Stil no responce...

I know their busy over there, but is this normal??

What I want to know before making my order is if I need custom tunes because I have a cat back Magnaflow Exhaust and an AirAid Modular Intake Tube with a drop in K&N Filter.... Anyone out there know??

I read on their site that if running a dual exhaust or CAI.
Custom tunes are needed.

But I don't have a true dual exhaust just a cat back, and my air intake is just a tube, I'm still running the stock air box just with a K&N filter...
So does this count?

Also on a side note anyone of a picture of a Gryphon installed?
I saw a pic of the Edge on that site... But would like to see how this is going to look. I know it's black not silver but the pod color is what I would like to see.

They are short-staffed since the better half of PHP had an operation yesterday. It was stated on the front page of PHP's website.

It seems when I first had a problem with my tunes (and still have it) they suddenly fell off the face of the earth. I sent two PM's on their forum over the course of three weeks without any response as the getting the problem fixed. When I had questions regarding tunes and my order they always responded promptly but not so much when I actually had a problem when I recieved them and noticed my torque converter locking in and out constantly.

Their staff is two people. The one having the surgery and the one taking care of her and the kids. They will get back as soon as possible. You can have patience or try another programmer. Normally, they are pretty quick to get back to you, but this is not a normal time for them.

I can answer your questions. You do not NEED custom tunes for a drop in K&N and a cat back, but it is money very well spent. The custom tunes out perform the canned.

A drop in filter replacement does not need a tune since you're not increasing the MAF tube size. A catback exhaust wouldn't really need a tune either. Unless you were getting rid of the cats or something.

I'm not so sure about that ... I'm still waiting on a phone call back from them that I placed a month ago when I was trying to decide on Troyer Performance or VMP Tuning. I got to speak with Justin the first time I called and got my tuner with custom tunes in a couple of weeks.

I think that AirAid Modular Intake Tube might make a difference. It allows more air than stock. I could be wrong.

You can always order ahead of time. Bill usually calls before starting to write your tunes, you can put a note on your order to make sure they call you, and then decide whether you need custom or not, they're certainly NOT going to suggest something you don't need, even if it means they'd make more money. They care more about their customers than anyone in any industry I've ever worked with!

As long as the original filter box is kept the modular intake tube is really no different then the gott's/ dwv/ snorkle mod.

Does that intake tube relocate the MAF sensor? I'm not too familiar with the product. I just know it says it allows a lot more air. They say something like 400 cubic feet per minute of air, but I don't know what stock is.
