Edge question

I just bought a 2 month old used edge from a member and pluged it in and it will not display the trucks hex code this member told me that he had edge reset the programmer for him before he shipped it. My question is this... If he did not reprogram his truck to stock before he sold it and he did not have edge reset the programmer is this what would happen.. no hex code displayed?

Contact Edge or Bill at PHP. Either should be able to help you.

Well you said it didn't show the hex code...but what exactly does it show then? If it goes straight to the display screen, in the top right hand corner in a box you should see a number, if the number is 0 then it is set back to stock. Also in the manual it says if you don't see the hex code when you plug it up...unplug and then plug it back up, have you tried that?

Also another way to see the hex code is hit menu, diagnostics, then version info.

But as stealth said Bill or edge would be able to tell you whats going on.

Yeah I tried the unplug wait 5 seconds and plug back in. It didnt work. The number in the top right corner was zero but I just wanted to make sure that I did everything right before I put a tune in it and then couldnt get my stock one back.

I just bought one brand new and it did the same thing. I e-mailed edge and they said it was fine. It does show when you look it up like noted above.
