Disconnecting the battery with Tunes...

Im going to be dropping off my truck to the dealership so they can look at my battery/alternator (my truck makes the infamous whine in cold temps which is supposidly the alternator).

My question is what should I do with my Troyer tune? Should I put it back to stock when I bring it in, that way if they disconnect my battery it won't screw anything up?

Thanks for any help....

Disconnecting the battery will not affect whatever tune is in your PCM. It is a program loaded in just as a stock tune would be. However, I would NEVER take my truck in with a tune loaded if they are going to do anything other than oil change or tire rotation. You hear horror stories where they decide to reflash for some goofy reason, and there went your tunes and the Xcal is now useless. Return it to stock before you take it in, and you will have no worries.

I always have the cover over my ODB port that Troyer ships with his tunes so they shouldnt reflash w/out my permission. But ya i agree, other than an oil change I will always go back to stock.
