Not sure if this should go in engine or tuner but I was wondering is the stock WOT shift point the best, or is there a benefit to increasing it?

before my tune on my 07 4.6 it was about 5100 or so i think. now its about 5300 with my tune, if i go thru the gears i can get to about 5500-5600. don't feel safe going to 5500 rpm on a stock engine tho. there is a reason fords rev to 5k stock IMO.

 

That what I was thinking, come to think of it, I thought mine stock shifted at 5500, and with the tuner it still is at 5500, just didn't know if going above that would benefit me at all, but I figured it would just put more ware and tear on the engine for little or no gain.
