exactly, thats why they need tunes. it does not correct WOT good enough to save an engine, or running lean would never be a problem. You are tuned, so nothing to worry about.

Yeah, the tune corrected it to a point, but I have asked Justin to dial it in the rest of the way. On the initial run there was only a 1% correction, but after I reflashed to stock and did a run then put the tune back in it was off by 4% so the CPU learned and made the 3% correction. When we did the stock run we didn't finish casue it was off by 9% I believe.

I am trying to get the sheets loaded here at work tonight, if I can't I will go to my office at the university and post em up there.

Thumbs up

Here are the Dyno sheets, sorry for the delay. Runs 1-3 are the VMP ones, with #3 being after the truck was nice and warmed up. Run 4 was no tune, just the intake and exhaust, and run ten was after VMP was re-loaded and keep alive had been reset.

Here is the A/F ratio's and correction.

You can see the almost perfect A/F ratio on the 1st threee runs and after that

Gonna go back after Justin tweaks it so the CPU wont have re-learn that correction every time.

Yeah, the guys and Dynojet shop said to go with the Borla, Gibson or Magnaflow and the #'s would be better. They could have done the sensor off of the o2 sensor as well. As for the Troyer tunes, they sung praises about Mike and his skills with our trucks but said they didn't see any real room for improvement. Still tossin around if I am going to do it now. Especially since they want $125 for 1 friggin tune.

Hmm...that is good to know. I was looking at possibly going the way of Borla. I really like the sound so it will be hard to find one that comes close. It will be while though, got alot to to still before I go upgrading

thats interesting. i would have thought the numbers would be higher with the intake, exhaust, and tunes. I have an 08 with the 5.4 and bone stock on justins dyno i was making 230RWHP and 273RWTQ. 10hp improvement for intake, tune, exhaust?

Yeah, I think the number read low. Our 08's are getting around 200-220 at the wheel off of the line. That is 2wd 2dr though. Is yours a 4WD or what. Mine is a FX4 supercrew, the heaviest beast option. So, mine was probably around the very low 2's when it came from Ford, so mid 2's is alright by me. If I was overly concerned I would throw a much better exhaust on it that the Flows, but for now I love my setup.

matt's exhaust now is different than his 264 number, remember , every truck is different, every engine is different, as well as readings from different dynos, main point is that the customer is satisfied with the end result of the tuning service

I agree.. wasnt trying to start anything. just missed the fact that his was an FX4. the transfer case will make up for the added loss. I got a Xcal 3 for christmas and will be getting tunes sometime soon.

I know you what you guys are saying and I appreciate all of the imput. That is why I am here.
And I love driving my truck even more than when I bought it so yeah I am very happy.

I am still trying to decide if I am going to finish my order for the Troyer tunes or not. The Dyno guys didn't think there was alot of room for improvement once Justin corrects that A/F gap. There should be a little bit of better go there but not much from what I understand.

Did they have any recommendations for improvement? High Flow Cat's, E-fans?
