VMP-XCal3 Question

I have been dealing with Justin for about month now trying to get my new tunes usable on my truck. He emailed me stating "take out some timing with on device adjustments, 1-2*, and let me know if the noise stops"
I can't find in the adjustment options anywhere that lets me adjust timing. I see a bunch of other things, but no timing adjustment.
Any suggestions?
I am getting fed up! My engine is pinging, I have almost no power once the trucks goes into 4th gear, and this is my 3rd rev to my custom 87 perf tunes for my 2008 truck. I have only 4000 miles on this thing and I hope this pinging hasn't damaged my engine. I keep returning to stock, which may not be completely safe either with my CAI and exhaust already installed.

It is under the user adjustable options right before you downlaod the tune to your truck. This is where you can adjust your WOT, gear ratio, RPM limiter, MPH Limiter, etc. You are looking for the timing adjustments. I don't know exactly what it says, but the options will be like
0000-2000
2000-4000
4000-6000
etc. I do not know for sure, I will have to look at it.

You should be able to find it. If is pinging that bad try taking suggested 1-2* out of the RPM range it occurs in.

the timing is called 'spark' on the xcal 3.
They are the first options if you 'change' the tune before you load it.

Thanks guys, I saw the spark adjustment options. I wonder which ones he wants me to adjust. There are 3 or 4 spark adjustments, I guess it is covering different rpm ranges for each

Only adjust the ranges where you have the pinging. Also note where in the RPM range you are at and how hard on the throttle you are for when Justin asks.
