Installed my Gryphon

Well, got the Gryphon from UPS on Monday from PHP and got it installed in my '06 5.4. Took about 30 minutes including reading the instruction manual. I am using canned tunes until I get my custom ones from Bill, so I set it up on #2 which is the 87 octane tow setting. I took it out for a little lead foot session and ended up with a smile ear to ear I had a 0 - 60 in 7.25. The engine feels like it just wants to go! Then I thought I would test it on my wife. I told her what the "computer" on the dash was for (diagnostics, improved shifting, etc) and wanted to see her reaction. She had some errands to run, so I told her to take the truck. She called me while out and told me that it felt like there was a "race car" engine in the truck . She likes it.

So now I can't wait to get my custom towing and performance tunes. It's like a different truck! Thanks Corey and Bill

HOLY COW! Someone actually read the manual! My hard work wasn't for naught... (Yes, way back when -- WAY before I even understood what our programmer did! -- I was given the task of writing the manual. It was based off Edge's, so I didn't have to come up with it all out of my head, but it wasn't easy. Bill's been making so many updates to the firmware -- like the metric functions -- that I'll probably be updating the manual soon, too!)

I love the idea of getting your wife in on it. In our house, that's usually a great way to keep everything running smoothly -- especially when it comes to a major purchase, like our Expedition.

I am SO glad you're enjoying the programmer. Bill's working on a zillion different projects -- including firmware updates for Pegasus -- but I know that he's trying hard to get custom files done for our awesome customers.
