In your opinion, what is the best?

what is the best tuner for the 5.4L f150? i know that this is a general question but i have $600 and want to know what the best tuner is for my truck. I was looking at the edge chip and a couple of others but i cannot make up my mind.

thanks in advance,
Ac

The best is what fits your needs. This is a very opinionated question and has been debated quite a bit.

X2, NOw if you are asking, what type of tuner? Then that is another question. I have a Edge that I use for gauges and a X Cal 3 that I use for my custom tunes. I agree with other posters though, use the "search" feature There are more answers than you could ever ask for.

If you decide to go with the SLR chip remember one thing, you must stack them together in order to get the full benefit.

Edge makes chips for our trucks? That sounds delicious!

darklcdfeller, honestly your best bet is to browse this section for a couple weeks.

I have never rode in a truck with canned or custom tunes, if I simply got the edge for my truck with the canned tunes would I be happy with the improvement. I realize that the custom tunes are better but for not knowing any better and if my only real goal would be to eliminate the throttle delay, would I be satisfied with the canned tunes? I guess I'm looking for instant satisfaction and realize that I will have to wait several weeks if I want custom tunes.

Absolutely! The canned tunes eliminated the hesitation completely. I used it for 30,000 happy miles before getting the custom tunes. Just get the Gryphon, so you can later get the custom tunes.

Do you have this chip?
Yes. Three of them. Stacked.

The dynamometer shows a total gain of 132 HP & 151 ft lb TRQ, plus I've gained an extra 10.25 miles per gallon.
